Leeds Given Seven-Day Deadline to Finalize Transfer for 28-Year-Old Striker
Leeds United Have Just Seven Days to Finalize Transfer for Blackburn Rovers Midfielder Sammie Szmodics, Warns Journalist Alan Nixon

Daniel Farke’s side is determined to bolster their squad to avoid missing out on promotion for a second consecutive season.
While the Whites aim to retain their key players, they have already lost promising teenager Archie Gray to Tottenham, and both Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto are linked with Premier League moves.
Following Gray’s departure and the potential exit of other stars, Leeds might find themselves with a substantial transfer budget to strengthen their team.
TalkSPORT reports that Leeds have entered the race for attacking midfielder Szmodics, who is also attracting interest from Premier League newcomers Ipswich.
Ipswich recently had a £6 million offer, plus add-ons, for Szmodics rejected. The 28-year-old was the Championship’s top scorer last season with 27 goals. According to Nixon, any interested parties must act by the end of the month to give Blackburn time to secure a replacement.
Securing Szmodics would be a significant achievement for Leeds, especially if they manage to outmaneuver Ipswich.
Alongside Joel Piroe, who has also proven his goal-scoring abilities in the Championship, Szmodics could provide the firepower needed to secure promotion to the Premier League.
Szmodics has two years remaining on his contract with an additional option year, so Blackburn is under no pressure to sell their star player at a reduced price.
