Report: West Ham Close to Signing £15m ‘Best in the World’ Star as Deal Nears Completion
Manchester United Defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka Likely to Join West Ham United This Summer

Aaron Wan-Bissaka may soon trade Old Trafford for the London Stadium. The right-back has been linked with a move to West Ham for some time, reportedly eager to return to London.
Wan-Bissaka’s stint at Manchester United, where he arrived from Crystal Palace for £50 million in 2019, has been challenging. Like many before him, he has struggled to meet the high expectations at Old Trafford.

This isn’t to say Wan-Bissaka isn’t a top-tier player; he certainly is. The pressure to succeed at Manchester United is unique, comparable only to that at clubs like Real Madrid.
At West Ham, under Julen Lopetegui’s management, Wan-Bissaka is expected to thrive.
The 26-year-old’s move back to London seems imminent. Manchester Evening News reports that Manchester United anticipates completing the deal soon, paving the way for them to sign Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern Munich.
There’s hope that Wan-Bissaka will join West Ham before the new season begins, providing an essential upgrade on Vladimir Coufal.
Wan-Bissaka could cost around £15 million, according to Sky Sports, which seems a fair price. Give Me Sport suggests he might be available for just £10 million this summer, which would be an excellent bargain.

His speed, tackling ability, and stamina would make him a standout signing for the Hammers. While he’s not the most attacking defender, his defensive prowess is among the best, which is precisely what West Ham needs.
In 2020, Jamie Carragher called Wan-Bissaka the “best one-on-one defender in the world” (Daily Mail). If West Ham can negotiate a fee of around £12-13 million, it would be a great deal.
Wan-Bissaka would likely form a formidable partnership with Jarrod Bowen on the right flank, potentially elevating West Ham’s performance to a new level.
