West Ham Targeting 16-Goal/Assist Star Who Impressed Against Arsenal

West Ham United are reportedly pursuing a deal to sign Lens star Elye Wahi.

The 21-year-old joined the Ligue 1 side last summer and quickly made an impact at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

He made 36 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 12 goals and providing four assists.

His standout performance came in a 2-1 Champions League victory against Arsenal in October, where he scored one goal and assisted another.

Despite being under contract with Lens until 2028, Wahi is expected to leave due to interest from the Premier League.

According to L’Equipe, West Ham United are keen on bringing the young striker to London this summer. However, they face competition from Chelsea and Leicester City, who are also interested in the player.

West Ham have already signed Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and Wes Foderingham but are still in the market for a new striker.

The East London club previously attempted to sign Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran, making an improved £32 million bid for the Colombian, which was turned down by Villa.

With their focus now on Wahi, West Ham are targeting a player who primarily operates as a center-forward but can also play on the wings.

However, securing a deal for the 21-year-old might prove challenging as Lens could demand a premium fee for their prized asset.
