Leeds United are actively seeking a replacement for Crysencio Summerville, who recently transferred to West Ham.
The club submitted a verbal bid of £7 million to Norwich City for Jonathan Rowe, but this bid has not been formalized.
According to Football Insider, Norwich City has responded by stating that Leeds’ offer is significantly below their valuation for the 21-year-old.
Consequently, Leeds will need to submit a higher bid if they wish to secure Rowe.
Despite the initial bid being rejected, Leeds remain confident about finding a top-class replacement for Summerville this month.
The winger’s departure leaves a notable gap in Daniel Farke’s attacking options. Last season, Summerville made 49 appearances, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists.
In addition to Rowe, Leeds are also considering Crystal Palace’s Jesurun Rak-Sakyi. Football Insider reports that Leeds are among several clubs tracking the winger, but they face significant competition.
Southampton, who previously had a £7 million bid rejected, are preparing a second offer of £12 million. It is believed that Leeds may not be willing to match this amount.
