Leeds United Seek to Replace Crysencio Summerville with Deal Under £10m

Leeds United are actively seeking a new star winger following the sale of Crysencio Summerville.

The Dutch player, who was named the Championship Player of the Season for 2023/24, has departed Elland Road for West Ham, prompting Leeds to find a replacement.

One key target for Leeds is Norwich City’s Jonathan Rowe. Reports suggest Leeds are aiming to complete a deal worth under £10 million.

Graeme Bailey of Leeds United News has indicated that negotiations with Norwich are ongoing, and the club is open to a sale. Bailey noted:

“Leeds are in discussions with Norwich about Rowe, which came up during talks about Sara. I’m told they want him for under £10 million overall, and it seems Norwich is willing to let him go.”

Rowe, who is just 21 years old, represents a promising addition for Leeds United, considering their current league position. Despite expectations that he might move to a higher tier, Leeds are pursuing an ambitious deal, which has the potential to excite their fans.

Last season, Rowe scored 13 goals and provided four assists in 38 games, although an injury limited his performance.

With his hamstring issue behind him, Rowe could have a significant impact in the 2024/25 season, and Leeds United hope he will do so in their kit. Securing him for less than £10 million would be a savvy move for Leeds.
