Leicester City Receive Transfer Response from Wilfried Zaha

Former Crystal Palace and Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha is reportedly eager to return to the Premier League.

Leicester City are exploring a potential loan deal for the player, according to talkSPORT.

Zaha is currently with Turkish Super Lig team Galatasaray, where he won the league last season.

Zaha has had a successful stint in Istanbul, recording nine goals and three assists. However, at over 30 years old, he might see this as his last chance to return to English football’s top division.

According to The Athletic, Zaha missed Galatasaray’s match against Hatayspor on Friday to engage in talks about a Premier League return.

Traditionally a left-winger, Zaha could be a significant addition at King Power Stadium.

Leicester currently relies on Stephy Mavididi as their primary left winger, with several others favoring the right side.

This could mean substantial playing time for Zaha if he returns from Turkey, despite the club recently securing Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton.

If the deal goes through, Zaha would become Leicester’s sixth signing of the summer transfer window.

The Foxes wrapped up their pre-season with a 3-0 defeat in France against Lens.

Steve Cooper’s side is set to host Spurs in the final game of the Premier League’s opening weekend on Monday, August 19.

Crystal Palace is also reportedly interested in the 31-year-old winger.
