Leeds United have renewed hope in their pursuit of Jesurun Rak-Sakyi from Crystal Palace after his transfer to Sheffield United encountered complications, according to Alan Nixon.
The Whites have been interested in the talented winger throughout the summer, with terms agreed earlier in the transfer window.
However, Rak-Sakyi opted for a move to the Blades and even attended their EFL Cup match on Tuesday.
Despite this, the transfer has stalled due to issues over agent payments, and the necessary paperwork remains unsigned, casting doubt on the deal.
Leeds Remain Interested in Rak-Sakyi
Leeds submitted a remarkable £15 million bid for the 21-year-old over the weekend, but Crystal Palace rejected it, preferring to loan out the player rather than sell him permanently.
Subsequently, Palace accepted a loan offer from Sheffield United, and the transfer was expected to be finalized before the weekend’s fixtures.
However, Nixon reported on his Patreon account that the deal has encountered problems.
While the paperwork on the player’s side is incomplete, Sheffield United remains eager to finalize the transfer and hopes to resolve the issues before Friday’s deadline so Rak-Sakyi can feature in their next game.
Leeds manager Daniel Farke is keen to bolster his forward options after losing Crysencio Summerville to West Ham United for £25 million.
Additionally, Jaidon Anthony’s loan move from Bournemouth was not extended beyond last season.
