West Ham confirms Steidten is pursuing multiple signings before the deadline.

West Ham United may be experiencing one of their most successful transfer windows in history.

 

This is becoming evident on the field, even after just two games under the management of Julen Lopetegui.

 

The Hammers have made eight signings so far, a significant part of the club’s major overhaul led by technical director Tim Steidten.

 

The most recent signing was Aaron Wan-Bissaka, two weeks ago. Many thought that this could mark the end of West Ham’s transfer activities for the summer.

 

However, the club’s top spokesman exclusively told Hammers News after Wan-Bissaka’s signing that West Ham could potentially bring in up to three more players.

 

This was contingent on the club’s ability to offload some players first.

 

Efforts to achieve this have been ongoing.

Lopetegui’s strategy: two players per position  

Lopetegui aims to have two players for every position, and the club is actively pursuing deals for new signings while also working to offload certain players, such as Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Maxwel Cornet, and Danny Ings.

 

One name heavily linked to West Ham is PSG’s Carlos Soler.

 

Reports suggest that Lopetegui has personally spoken to Soler about a potential move to London Stadium.

 

The Spanish midfielder is reportedly interested, and over the weekend, it was claimed that Soler could join West Ham on loan with an obligation to buy.

 

The club has also been linked to several strikers, including Tammy Abraham and Jhon Duran, although these reports have been downplayed in some circles.

 

However, Hammers News received a promising update from a top spokesman at the club, confirming that Steidten is working on more than one signing before the transfer deadline.

 

West Ham’s transfer plans before the deadline

Lopetegui has reiterated his desire to have two players for every position.

 

The 57-year-old manager also mentioned that he hopes to make additional signings this week, following the team’s victory over Palace.

 

A senior contact close to the West Ham board has now provided a transfer update to Hammers News, confirming that the club is actively working on multiple arrivals.

 

Nonetheless, the challenge remains that offloading players to free up wages and secure funds for new signings is proving difficult.

 

“We are trying to make signings,” the West Ham spokesman told Hammers News. “But we are struggling to get players out to release wages and fund arrivals.”

 

This statement suggests that West Ham is far from finished with their transfer window business.

 

 

Deals appear to be in place, ready to proceed, but are pending the departure of current players.

 

Midfielder and striker priority targets  

Recently, a leading journalist claimed that West Ham is in talks with Tammy Abraham after reaching an agreement with Roma.

 

 

However, some sources close to the club have downplayed this possibility.

 

After scoring against the Hammers last week, there have been mixed signals from Jhon Duran and Unai Emery regarding a potential move to West Ham.

 

Michail Antonio has not been impressive in West Ham’s first two games of the season.

 

 

Now approaching his 35th birthday and having a history of injuries, Antonio is likely to be replaced by fellow veteran forward Niclas Fullkrug in upcoming matches.

 

Given the club’s attempts to move Danny Ings and his £125k per week salary, it’s clear why securing a younger, faster striker is a priority for West Ham.

 

If Soler does join, it could indicate that one of West Ham’s current midfielders might be on their way out.

 

The club has until 11 p.m. on Friday to complete any remaining deals.
