Daniel Farke shares injury update on defender following Leeds vs. Hull match.

Jayden Bogle, 24, showed signs of discomfort in the last 10 minutes of Leeds United’s match at Elland Road and was substituted for Sam Byram in the closing stages.

However, manager Daniel Farke has calmed fears of a potential injury layoff, as he explained to the Yorkshire Evening Post on September 1st, revealing that Bogle’s substitution was precautionary due to cramps.

Farke stated, “No, just some cramps. It was also an intense game; he had to sprint a lot.

We know how difficult it is to defend against Millar consistently.

We experienced this even last season—although Archie shone in many games, he also had some problems against Millar.

I was pleased to bring Sam Byram in with his experience. It’s important to have him fit and available.”

Despite initial concerns, Bogle will be fit for Leeds United’s next match.

The summer signing from Sheffield United has faced criticism early in the 2024/25 season but remains an essential part of Farke’s squad.

Bogle is one of two full-backs brought in this summer, alongside Isaac Schmidt, after Archie Gray was sold to Tottenham and Connor Roberts’ loan expired.

Bogle’s continued availability is a boost for Farke, as the right-back has been a consistent presence for Leeds this season and is expected to maintain his starting position.

Leeds endured a slow start to the season with two draws in their opening Championship fixtures and a 3-0 loss to Middlesbrough in the Carabao Cup at Elland Road.

However, they have since rebounded with two consecutive league wins, reviving their title hopes.
