“Act Fast and Sign Him”: Jose Mourinho Urged to Bring Rangers’ £7M Europa League Star to Fenerbahce

Rangers may struggle to meet Wolfsburg’s reported £7 million asking price for Vaclav Cerny, and the Czech Republic international is already considering alternative options.
Cerny has suggested that if he finishes his loan spell at Ibrox with impressive goal and assist numbers, numerous clubs will be interested in signing him permanently this summer.
While he is enjoying his time at Rangers, his long-term ambitions lie in playing at a higher level, possibly in one of Europe’s top leagues and even in the Champions League.
Fenerbahce Urged to Sign Vaclav Cerny
Cerny made a significant impact against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce in the Europa League last-16 tie.
His brace in Istanbul helped Rangers secure a quarter-final spot against Athletic Bilbao.
Despite Fenerbahce being considered the stronger side on paper, Turkish pundit Sercan Hamzaolu believes Cerny is one player from Rangers who would fit right into Mourinho’s starting XI.
“Fenerbahce should hurry up and sign Vaclav Cerny,” Hamzaolu stated, impressed by Cerny’s dynamic first-half performance at Ibrox, where he registered the most shots of any Rangers player, taking eight from his advanced central role.
“He is an effective and fast winger who has been in demand for years.
His market value is between eight and nine million euros.”
Cerny set a personal target of 20 goals for the season.
With two months remaining, he is only three away, making this his most prolific campaign yet.
Interest from France and Germany
As Cerny’s loan spell nears its conclusion, competition for his signature is heating up.
His agent, David Nehoda, has confirmed that clubs from France and Germany are already circling ahead of the summer transfer window.
“I can’t predict what will happen, but I don’t think it’s very realistic for him to stay at Rangers,” Nehoda explained.
“His contract with Wolfsburg runs until 2027, so they may want to recall him or entertain offers from interested parties.”
“There is already interest from France and Italy. I know Vaclav’s ambitions—he wants to return to one of Europe’s top five leagues.”
Cerny’s resurgence at Rangers has been remarkable.
The Europa League stage has provided him with a platform to showcase his talent, and his contributions at Ibrox have not gone unnoticed.
His coaches and teammates trust him, the fans admire him, and his strong family background supports his success.
“He is calm, and that confidence is reflected in his performances.
Rangers’ playing style suits him perfectly, and he thrives in it,” Nehoda added.
While Rangers would love to keep him, Cerny’s rapid rise suggests he could be destined for a bigger stage.
