Mikey Moore’s stock is on the rise

Commenting on Moore’s impact against Alkmaar (via Football.London), Postecoglou said, “He is ready to start any game, but especially with young players, you need to be very careful with their integration into senior football.

“Even last year he didn’t have a full season, as injuries kept him out, and he transitioned from Under-18s to limited Under-21s before we brought him into the fold.

Considering that and his ongoing physical development, I believe he’s ready to start a Premier League game.”

Postecoglou added, “Our goal is to continue developing Mikey the right way and give him a platform to keep improving.

So far, he’s made an impact in every instance we’ve called on him, and we plan to maintain that approach.”

Moore is knocking on the door

Whenever Moore gets a chance, he plays with confidence and fearlessness, clearly believing he belongs at the top level.

He has likely now surpassed Timo Werner in the selection hierarchy, and he may soon challenge players like Brennan Johnson and Wilson Odobert for a regular place in the starting lineup.
