Another West Ham signing to finalize contract today after completing medical – Fabrizio Romano
According to Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund striker Niclas Fullkrug will sign his contract with West Ham United on Monday, August 5.

Italian journalist reported on X (4 August) that Niclas Fullkrug’s medical has been completed. Fullkrug’s deal with West Ham United is set to last until June 2027, with an option to extend until 2028.
Niclas Fullkrug is exactly what West Ham United need. The club has experienced a rollercoaster over the past few seasons, becoming European Champions and then finishing ninth in the Premier League within a few campaigns.

West Ham’s strike force has been a significant burden. Despite efforts to recruit attacking reinforcements, their luck with strikers has been poor.
Gianluca Scamacca, one of the notable signings, failed to replicate his Serie A form in England’s top flight, leading to his exit from London Stadium.
Michail Antonio’s form has also declined significantly. Last season, he failed to reach double figures in goals, sparking exit rumors [GZH, 28 June].
Although these rumors were later squashed [WHUFC.com, 31 July], they highlight his poor performance.
While Fullkrug is older compared to recent recruits, his previous campaigns suggest he is a clinical striker, which is precisely what Julen Lopetegui needs to alleviate pressure from the wingers.
