Speaking on the BBC’s Football News Show (27 September), Michael Brown offered his perspective on how supporters should handle the situation.
“Sean Dyche understands the pressure,” he said. “He’s comfortable in his surroundings, and he’s got broad shoulders, but the pressure is mounting.
The supporters are grumbling, but they need to try and relax. The next two home games [against Crystal Palace and Newcastle] are key.”
With Everton in the relegation zone, it’s been a dismal start to the season.
Despite their struggles, the Toffees have shown promise in matches where they led by two goals against Aston Villa and Bournemouth, only to lose both games.
These glimpses show that Dyche can set up his team for success, but consistency remains elusive.
According to The Times (27 September), the pressure on Dyche is intensifying, especially with potential new owner Dan Friedkin on the horizon.

While Brown urges fans to remain calm and trust in Dyche’s experience, the manager must start proving himself, beginning with a result against Crystal Palace.
