Leeds United will don a distinctive version of their home kit when they face Brentford in a Premier League encounter at Elland Road on Saturday, as part of a meaningful charitable initiative.

The Yorkshire club is once again lending its support to the Wings for Life World Run, a worldwide campaign dedicated to raising funds for research into spinal cord injuries.

To mark the occasion, the team’s traditional Red Bull sponsor logo will be temporarily replaced on the front of their iconic white shirts with the branding of the charity, highlighting the importance of the cause.

The Wings for Life World Run is unique in its format, bringing together participants from across the globe who all begin running simultaneously.

Instead of a fixed finish line, runners continue until they are overtaken by a virtual “catcher car,” which starts 30 minutes after the race begins and steadily increases its speed. Once the car passes a participant, their race concludes.

Club captain Ethan Ampadu emphasised the importance of the initiative, noting that it not only raises vital awareness for spinal cord injuries but also encourages global unity, allowing people everywhere to take part together regardless of their circumstances.
