Brighton and Liverpool Emerge as Favourites in £35m Race for Leeds United Star Crysencio Summerville

Summerville was one of the Championship's top performers last season and is expected to make a move to a Premier League club this summer

Leeds United are preparing for next season without Dutch star Crysencio Summerville. The main questions surrounding his departure are the timing, destination, and transfer fee required to secure his move from Elland Road.

Summerville had an impressive last season, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists in all competitions. Several Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in signing the former Netherlands under-21 international winger.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur, and Brighton and Hove Albion are all linked with the 22-year-old this summer. According to bookmakers, two clubs have emerged as front-runners for his signature.

Sky Bet has listed Brighton as 2/1 favourites to sign Summerville, with new manager Fabian Hürzeler aiming to make an impact following Roberto De Zerbi’s departure.

Liverpool are close behind as 10/3 second favourites, with Dutch manager Arne Slot known to admire Summerville.

Chelsea are 4/1 third favourites, while Crystal Palace, potentially in need of a new winger if Michael Olise moves to Bayern Munich, are 6/1 fourth favourites.

Tottenham are priced at 8/1, while both Newcastle and West Ham are given 10/1 odds. Aston Villa are the least favoured at 12/1.

Leeds hope to secure a substantial fee for Summerville this summer, with reports suggesting a valuation of around £35-40 million.

The Whites are favourites to win promotion to the Premier League next season but anticipate a busy summer. They face interest in several key players and need to offload several returning loan players.
