Ruud van Nistelrooy stands firm as he acknowledges Leicester City’s need to ‘reset.’

Ruud van Nistelrooy has pledged to remain true to himself despite Leicester City’s struggles in the Premier League.

The Foxes sit 19th in the table, nine points from safety, with just nine matches left.

Their 3-0 defeat to Manchester United at the King Power Stadium before the international break marked a historic low—they became the first top-flight team to lose seven consecutive home games without scoring.

When asked about maintaining his confidence, Van Nistelrooy emphasized persistence: “It’s important to keep going and believe in what you’re doing.

I’ll stay myself. I won’t change as a person or a coach.”

He remains committed to his methods, stating, “The approach, what we’re working towards in training and games, is the path we’re on.

We’re adjusting and trying everything to turn results around. That’s my job, and I’ll continue.”

Leicester resumes league action on April 2 against Manchester City at the Etihad.

Van Nistelrooy sees the international break as a chance to regroup: “The players are working hard and doing everything possible.

They need time to reset, especially those not on international duty.”

He also hopes the players representing their countries will return fresh and fit.
