Gael Clichy expresses his belief that the Premier League has not seen a more traditional goalkeeper than Joe Hart in recent years. Hart, currently Celtic’s top choice, served as Manchester City’s starting goalkeeper from the 2010/2011 to the 2015/2016 season. However, his tenure faced a shift with Pep Guardiola’s arrival at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, leading to loans at Torino and West Ham United the following season before ultimately being sold to Burnley in 2018.

During his time with City, Hart earned a strong reputation among fans for his exceptional shot-stopping skills, authoritative presence in the penalty area, and leadership qualities. He played a pivotal role as City clinched two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, and two Carabao Cup trophies, while also securing four consecutive Golden Gloves awards.
Gael Clichy, who shared the pitch and training ground with Hart during their time at Manchester City, spoke highly of the goalkeeper’s contributions and impact.
