Following their relegation, Leicester find themselves short on funds, and Football League World (FLW) understands that several players will need to be sold to generate income.

One name already drawing interest is goalkeeper Mads Hermansen, with both Chelsea and West Ham monitoring his situation.

According to Football Insider, Leicester are open to offers in the region of £20 million for the Dane.

However, FLW sources suggest the club intends to raise at least £30 million from player sales this summer. Among those likely to be sold is Caleb Okoli.

The 24-year-old defender, who earns around £25,000 a week according to Capology, only joined the club last summer in a £13 million deal from Atalanta.

Okoli’s time at Leicester has been underwhelming. He made just 19 appearances in the Premier League last season and struggled for consistency.

While he featured regularly under Steve Cooper early in the campaign, his role diminished under Van Nistelrooy, with only three starts in 2025.

Now, with Leicester seeking to overhaul the squad and boost their transfer budget, Okoli is expected to follow Hermansen out the door.

Cifuentes is keen to mould the team in his own image, and moving on from underperforming assets like Okoli is a step in that direction.
