Club ‘unsettled’ by Everton’s Pursuit for signing – Toffees ‘exerting constant pressure’ to secure deal

Everton are eager to sign 24-year-old Iliman Ndiaye, according to L’Equipe. The club is reportedly applying “constant pressure” to bring the former Sheffield United player back to England during the summer transfer window. Ndiaye was acquired by Marseille from Sheffield United last summer for nearly €20 million.

Ndiaye spent four years at Sheffield United, and Everton had expressed interest in him before he moved to Marseille. They attempted to sign him in the winter, but Ndiaye and his representatives decided to remain with the French club.

Now, Everton have renewed their pursuit of the Senegal international, and their latest efforts have unsettled Marseille. The French club is looking to raise funds, and Ndiaye’s camp appears more open to a return to England this summer.

Should Ndiaye leave, Marseille hopes to recoup the €20 million they spent on him. While Foot Mercato reported yesterday that Everton has submitted a bid, L’Equipe’s latest update does not confirm any offer from the Merseyside club.
