Leicester City will be without several key players for their upcoming clash against Southampton, as Mads Hermansen, Ricardo Pereira, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, and Facundo Buonanotte are all ruled out after featuring in the 3-0 defeat to Wolves last weekend.

It marks Jamie Vardy’s second-last appearance at the King Power Stadium, and the manager wants to ensure the legendary forward receives a proper farewell.

“There are still strong motivational factors at play,” he said. “It’s about giving Jamie the best possible send-off.

“We’re facing a team we’ll meet again next season, so this match is part of our preparation.

We want to end the season in the best way we can and carry momentum into the Championship.

“Our attitude and performance on Saturday must reflect that. We need to respond to the Wolves defeat—especially that first half.

While we were better in the second, the result was disappointing.

“We have to take the intensity from that second half and bring it into this game. Even with relegation confirmed, the way we finish matters.

This is a chance to start building for next season, and in that context, this is a valuable fixture.”
