Doctor outlines ‘best-case scenario’ for Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario following injury setback.

The injury expert has revealed that Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is unlikely to return before February 2025, even in the best-case scenario, following surgery on his ankle.
Vicario sustained the injury during the game against Manchester City in November but managed to finish the match.
Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, Dr. Brar, a physical therapy doctor and sports scientist, shared insights into Vicario’s recovery process.
“His current focus is on post-surgery recovery, including range of motion exercises and strengthening, following the set protocols,” Brar explained.
“Best-case scenario would see him returning to training around late February, but as Ange [Postecoglou] mentioned, it’s difficult to predict until he’s back on the pitch and his progress can be assessed.”
Guglielmo Vicario’s absence until February leaves a significant gap for Tottenham.
The Italian shot-stopper has been a standout performer this season, playing a crucial role in Spurs’ build-up play.
His absence undoubtedly weakens the North London side’s defensive capabilities.
With Vicario sidelined for an extended period, it’s now up to the rest of the squad to step up and keep the team competitive during this challenging phase.
