Doctor Provides Surgery Update as Everton Star Faces Weeks on the Sidelines

Injury expert claims that the worst fears of a Grade 4 rupture have been avoided, making the situation better than expected.
Had it been a Grade 4 injury, the England international would have required surgery, but that is not the case at present.
Despite this, Calvert-Lewin, 27, is still expected to remain sidelined for a few more weeks.
The striker has taken some time to recover from the injury. Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr. Brar, a Physical Therapy and Sports Science specialist, shared his insights on Calvert-Lewin’s condition:
“I believe it’s a Grade 3 thigh injury rather than the initially feared Grade 4 rupture, which would have required surgery. Thankfully, that’s not necessary now.
“These types of injuries take significant time to heal, so his recovery timeline makes sense.
“He will likely be out for a few more weeks, at least.”
Calvert-Lewin has been unavailable since January 25, when Everton secured a 1-0 win over Brighton.
Despite dealing with fitness concerns in previous seasons, he had remained injury-free in this campaign before this latest setback.
Calvert-Lewin’s Future at Everton Uncertain
The striker’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he appears no closer to signing a new deal.
Even with a managerial change and the move to Bramley-Moore Dock next season, Calvert-Lewin remains uncertain about his future at the club.
Everton may need to seek clarity from him soon. If he chooses not to extend his stay, the club can begin looking for a replacement.
With David Moyes set to take charge, a proven goal scorer will be crucial.
The Friedkin Group is expected to provide a substantial transfer budget in the summer.
While Beto has shown flashes of brilliance, he is better suited as a backup option and cannot be relied upon to deliver 15-20 league goals per season.
It remains to be seen who Moyes will target, but Kevin Thelwell is likely already assessing potential striker options willing to make the switch to Merseyside.
