West Ham XI vs Liverpool: Confirmed Team Updates and Predicted Lineup
Julen Lopetegui has numerous options for Anfield clash as struggling Hammers aim to kickstart their season

Julen Lopetegui has indicated that he could have a fully fit squad to select from for West Ham’s Carabao Cup tie against Liverpool on Wednesday.
The Hammers emerged from their weekend defeat to Chelsea without any new injuries, and striker Niclas Fullkrug, who has been recovering from a calf injury, returned to training on Monday.
A decision on whether Fullkrug will travel with the squad to Anfield will be made closer to the match, but Lopetegui was positive about the German striker’s chances.
Fullkrug joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund this summer but has struggled for consistency due to injuries.
“We don’t have new injuries,” Lopetegui confirmed during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
“Fullkrug is better now. Maybe we will have the whole squad ready. He trained yesterday, and he will train today, so we will see his level before Anfield.”
Lopetegui acknowledged Fullkrug’s experience but mentioned that the striker’s progress has been disrupted by injury during international duty. “It’s a pity because he was close to playing with us.”
While not planning to overhaul his lineup, Lopetegui suggested he would make some adjustments for the trip to Liverpool, as West Ham have only won two matches across all competitions this season.
“We are going to try to balance the team,” he said. “All players have the chance to play with us.”
Lukasz Fabianski is confirmed to start in goal. “He’s always ready, and he will play tomorrow,” Lopetegui added.
Predicted West Ham XI (4-2-3-1): Fabianski; Coufal, Mavropanos, Todibo, Emerson; Rodriguez, Soucek; Kudus, Soler, Summerville; Antonio
Doubt: Fullkrug
