Leicester City Transfer News: Premier League Star Available for £8m, Patson Daka’s Potential Exit, and More

With the transfer window closing soon, Leicester City fans eagerly await new signings at the King Power Stadium.

Woyo Coulibaly, who arrived from Parma for £3 million, remains Leicester’s only signing so far, leaving manager Ruud van Nistelrooy with a major challenge.

Currently just one point outside the relegation zone, Leicester are in desperate need of reinforcements, but securing new players has proven difficult.

Van Nistelrooy aimed to strengthen four key areas, but so far, he has only addressed the right-back issue with Coulibaly, with no other signings on the horizon.

Here’s the latest update on Leicester’s transfer activity:

Leicester Target Kyle Walker-Peters Available for £8m-£9m

Leicester had shown interest in Kyle Walker-Peters earlier in the transfer window, but they initially balked at Southampton’s £7 million asking price.

Fans were frustrated by this, especially as Walker-Peters, whose contract runs out in the summer, is now available for between £8 million and £9 million.

Given that Leicester have already signed Coulibaly for the right-back position, a deal for the 27-year-old seems unlikely, although some supporters would welcome the move.

Leicester Interested in Patrick Wimmer

One area van Nistelrooy still wants to strengthen is the wing, and Leicester are reportedly keen on Wolfsburg’s Patrick Wimmer.

The 23-year-old Austrian has a £10 million transfer value, but Wolfsburg are holding out for at least £20 million.

Wimmer has impressed this season with one goal and four assists in the Bundesliga and has attracted interest from top Italian clubs, including Juventus and AC Milan.

However, with Wolfsburg’s high asking price, Leicester may find this deal difficult to complete.

Leicester Will Listen to Offers for Patson Daka

In terms of outgoings, Leicester have already loaned out Hamza Choudhury and sold Tom Cannon to Sheffield United for £10 million.

But more departures could follow before the transfer deadline. One player potentially on the move is striker Patson Daka.

Having started just once in the Premier League this season, Daka has fallen out of favor with van Nistelrooy, who prefers Jamie Vardy.

The 26-year-old has caught the eye of several clubs, with Everton mentioned as a possible destination.

Leicester are reportedly open to selling Daka to ease their financial situation.
