Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Morgan Gibbs-White, including their willingness to meet his release clause, clearly signals their intent to strengthen the attacking midfield position.

However, with a €32 million offer on the table, Roma are likely to make a profit on the midfielder, having signed him for €25.6 million (£21.7 million) plus €4 million (£3.4 million) in potential bonuses just a year ago.
