The Guardian journalist reported on X (2 February) that Everton, Fulham, and RB Leipzig are all interested in signing Timothy Weah before the 3 February transfer deadline, though any deal would be challenging at this stage.
Juventus are reportedly hesitant to let the US winger leave Turin so late in the window, making it unlikely they will approve a transfer.
This poses a hurdle for David Moyes’ Everton, who are seeking to strengthen their squad.
Everton faces a race against time to secure Weah’s signature, as both Fulham and RB Leipzig are performing well in their domestic leagues.
To overcome these competitors and convince Juventus to allow his departure, the Toffees must act quickly.
Moyes is actively looking to bolster Everton’s attacking options, despite Beto’s resurgence under his management, having scored twice in their 4-0 victory over Leicester.
However, Beto is currently the only fit centre-forward after injuries to Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Armando Broja, with Youssef Chermiti also sidelined.
While Broja is expected to remain at Everton rather than return to Chelsea prematurely, Moyes still needs more attacking depth.
