“Everton in PANIC MODE: DESPERATE to Lock Down ‘PHENOMENAL’ Star with MEGA Deal After SHOCKING Pickford Bombshell!”

Everton must ensure Jordan Pickford is not the only player offered a new contract in the coming weeks.

Jordan Pickford looks set to commit his long-term future to Everton, with the Toffees eager to keep him at Goodison Park for the remainder of his career.

David Moyes views Pickford as central to his Everton project, underlined by how determined the club are to secure him.

Yet, once that deal is completed, the Blues must swiftly move on to other key players whose contracts could soon become an issue if not addressed promptly.

James Garner must be next in line

Among those, James Garner stands out. The midfielder has developed into one of Everton’s most reliable performers, with his adaptability making him invaluable to Moyes.

While his natural role is in central midfield, he stepped in at left-back during the opening two fixtures when Vitaliy Mykolenko was sidelined.

Garner’s performances have not gone unnoticed. Sky Sports pundit Sue Smith hailed him as “outstanding” following Everton’s 3-0 victory over Bournemouth in 2023.

His current deal runs until the summer of 2026, though the club hold an option to extend by another year. Even so, Everton must act now to safeguard his future.

Everton cannot risk losing Garner

The thought of losing Garner is almost unthinkable. He has become a vital presence at the base of midfield, and with his best years still ahead of him, his importance will only grow. This is even more pressing given Idrissa Gueye’s advancing age and inevitable decline in reliability.

Since joining from Manchester United in 2022, following loan spells with Watford and Nottingham Forest, Garner has featured 88 times for Everton.

In that period, he has scored three goals, provided four assists, and earned a reputation for his tenacity—this season boasting a perfect tackle success rate across six attempts.

Moyes needs dependable figures as he looks to rebuild Everton, and Garner epitomises consistency and commitment. Offering him a new long-term contract should be a priority.

The Blues cannot afford to risk losing his influence in midfield just as he continues to mature into one of the squad’s most important assets.
