Everton make move to sign forward who shone in 1-0 UCL victory tonight – report
Everton have made an enquiry to Monaco regarding forward Breel Embolo, reports TBR Football.
On Tuesday, 21 January, an online news outlet reported that Monaco is willing to let Swiss international Breel Embolo leave during the winter transfer window, with both Chelsea and West Ham United showing interest in the striker.
However, Serie A club Como, who recently signed former Everton player Dele Alli, are leading the race for Embolo, who impressed with a key role in Monaco’s 1-0 Champions League win over Aston Villa.
David Moyes is keen to find a new leader for his attack at Goodison Park, especially as Beto seeks a winter move and the future of Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains uncertain with his contract nearing its end.
Everton cannot afford to let the transfer window close on 3 February without strengthening their squad, especially as they fight against relegation.

At 27, Embolo is in his prime but has struggled for regular playing time in Ligue 1. Nevertheless, he has contributed five goals and five assists in 25 appearances—more than any Everton forward.
With Champions League and Europa League experience, as well as being a key player for Switzerland, Embolo could be the perfect signing to help lift Everton out of the relegation zone with less than two weeks remaining in the transfer window.
