Everton are reportedly preparing to make a move for Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson as they look to fix their ongoing struggles in front of goal — and could take full advantage of Bayern Munich’s £70 million decision not to make his loan move permanent.

While Beto has been wasteful, Barry hasn’t had enough service or time to make an impact.
As a result, Moyes’ attack looks toothless, with neither striker likely to provide an immediate solution.
It’s no surprise, then, that Everton are already exploring other options. Ivan Toney has been among those linked for 2026, but now the Merseysiders are turning their attention to Jackson.
According to Football Insider, Everton want to capitalise on Bayern Munich’s decision not to trigger the £70m buy clause in his loan deal.
The Senegalese striker’s move to Germany will only become permanent if he starts 40 matches, but Bayern president Uli Hoeness has already dismissed that scenario.
“The player and his agent contribute €3m, so we pay €13.5m loan fee.
There will definitely not be a permanent contract. That only happens if he plays 40 games from the start — it will never happen,” Hoeness said.
This opens the door for Everton to swoop when Jackson returns to Chelsea next summer. At 24, he remains a player full of promise and Premier League experience, having scored 10 goals last season and 14 the year before.
Described as “fantastic” by Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca, Jackson could be exactly what Everton need — a dynamic, confident finisher ready to reignite their faltering attack. If the opportunity arises, the Toffees should waste no time in making their move.
