Everton Pursue Permanent Transfer for Available Player – Report

Aston Villa Prepared to Approve Jaden Philogene's Move to Everton This Winter, Reports Daily Mail

The newspaper’s print edition (8 January, pg. 65) reports that the Englishman is available for sale this January.

The Blues have reignited their interest in the 22-year-old after he rejected them in summer 2024, opting instead for a return to Birmingham.

Now, Everton is working to finalize a permanent deal for the attacker in the coming weeks.

Everton urgently needs reinforcements in attack, having struggled in the final third this season and scoring the second-fewest goals in the Premier League.

Manager Sean Dyche, known for his defensive expertise, has left fans frustrated with the lack of attacking output.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been the primary forward but continues to struggle with form. Beto is also an option, though his future at Goodison Park appears uncertain.

Meanwhile, Armando Broja has returned from injury but has yet to make an impact, recently encountering another setback.

Bright spots include Iliman Ndiaye and Dwight McNeil, who have been key contributors for Everton.

However, Leeds United loanee Jack Harrison has underwhelmed, leaving the Toffees in need of additional attacking options.

Philogene’s arrival could address Everton’s offensive struggles, though it remains uncertain if the deal will materialize in the coming weeks.
