Report: Everton Reach Out to Sign £5m Striker Once Dubbed “Complete”; Shares Agent with Pickford

With several of Everton’s attacking stars rumored to be leaving during the summer transfer window, the club is actively searching for new players to replace them.

More Everton Exits Possible This Summer

The major story from Merseyside in recent days revolves around Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future at Everton following the sale of Amadou Onana to Aston Villa. Both West Ham and Newcastle had inquired about the striker, but the Toffees initially shut down those inquiries.

Despite their initial reluctance, Everton might now be forced to consider offers for Calvert-Lewin due to the failed takeover by The Friedkin Group, which pulled out of purchasing the Merseyside outfit last week. After nearly eight years with the club, the Goodison faithful would undoubtedly be disappointed to see Calvert-Lewin depart under such circumstances.

Another player potentially leaving Everton this summer is Beto. The striker joined the Toffees last summer in a nearly £26 million move from Serie A side Udinese. However, his first season on Merseyside did not go as planned, and a return to Italy may be on the horizon, with Bologna reportedly viewing him as a replacement for the departed Joshua Zirkzee.

Given the uncertainty surrounding Everton’s current attacking options, the Toffees have initiated contact about signing a sought-after striker this summer.

Everton Target a Move for Milik

According to Sport Witness, the Italian press claims that Everton is among several Premier League clubs eyeing a move for Juventus’ Arkadiusz Milik this summer. The Toffees, along with West Ham and Brentford, have made contact and requested information about the Polish center forward.

The 30-year-old is reportedly not in the plans of new Juventus boss Thiago Motta, who arrives in Turin after guiding Bologna to the Champions League last season. Despite falling out of favor with his new manager, Milik, valued at around £5 million, impressed at times last season, scoring eight goals in 36 appearances.

Milik’s stint with Juventus marks his second time playing in Serie A. During his first spell in Italy, he scored 48 goals in 122 appearances for Napoli. Former Napoli and Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has spoken highly of Milik in the past, praising his abilities.

“I have always had great center-forwards in my career, from [Filippo] Inzaghi to [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic. Icardi is a great center-forward like Milik. The Pole, however, is more complete, even if the Argentine finalizes more inside the area,” Ancelotti remarked.

With Everton actively seeking reinforcements and Milik potentially available, the Toffees’ summer transfer activity could significantly reshape their attacking options for the upcoming season.
