“Everton Set to SHOCK Football World with SENSATIONAL £25M Midfield Maestro Heist!”

Everton and West Ham Locked in Battle for Raphael Onyedika Signing This Summer

Raphael Onyedika is attracting serious interest after an impressive campaign with Club Brugge, and a summer move could be on the cards.

The 24-year-old joined the Belgian outfit from FC Midtjylland in 2022 and has since become a consistent performer in their midfield.

According to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri (25 June), both Everton and West Ham United are in the running to sign the Nigeria international, with both clubs reportedly well-positioned to complete a deal.

However, West Ham’s interest is currently seen as more “concrete”.

Club Brugge have set a price tag of around £25 million for Onyedika, a figure that reflects his growing stature and consistent performances.

Everton, however, must act decisively to secure his signature. With Abdoulaye Doucouré ruled out and Idrissa Gueye possibly departing, the Toffees’ midfield will need strengthening. Onyedika would offer a powerful upgrade.

A strong defensive presence with the ability to glide past pressure and drive the ball forward, the Nigerian has drawn comparisons to Paul Pogba for his style of play.

His ability to operate as either a holding or central midfielder would offer valuable tactical flexibility to any Premier League side.

In 2024/25, Onyedika registered two goals and two assists, including a memorable strike in the Champions League, underlining his potential to contribute in the final third.

For a fee of £25 million, his mix of physicality, technical quality, and European experience would be a major asset for Everton, particularly as they look to avoid another relegation battle next season.
