Leicester City Finalize Their Fifth Summer Signing
Facundo Buonanotte Joins Leicester City on Season-Long Loan, Adding Much-Needed Attacking Midfielder to Steve Cooper's Squad

Leicester City have secured their fifth summer signing with Brighton midfielder Facundo Buonanotte joining on a season-long loan.
Buonanotte’s arrival ends a three-week wait for a new recruit, addressing one of the club’s key transfer priorities.
Steve Cooper has finally bolstered his attacking midfield options.
The 19-year-old could make his debut on Saturday afternoon, having traveled with the squad to Lens for their final pre-season friendly.
Leicester City have been short of options in attacking midfield since Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s departure, with Bobby De Cordova-Reid previously the only senior player available in that role.
Youngsters Will Alves and Michael Golding have been the only backups. Buonanotte is expected to be a key starter.
Playing as a number 10 or on the right wing, the left-footed Buonanotte scored three goals in 27 Premier League appearances last season, 17 of which were starts for Brighton.
He joined Brighton 18 months ago from Rosario Central in Argentina and has earned two senior caps for his national team.
Buonanotte also has Europa League experience from Brighton’s campaign last season.
Leicester City hope he can inject much-needed creativity into their forward areas, which has been lacking in recent friendlies.
