Everton Poised to Support David Moyes with Summer Transfer Funds

One player who could command significant interest is striker Beto. Following Leeds United’s promotion to the Premier League, the Yorkshire club have identified the Everton forward as a top target.
Sky Sports (8 May) reports that Leeds are willing to pay £30 million for the Guinea-Bissau international.
However, former scout Bryan King told Goodison News that Everton could push for a much higher fee, suggesting that the club may demand as much as £80 million for the 27-year-old, who joined from Udinese.
Should Everton secure such a fee, it would be a remarkable piece of business. Despite scoring eight goals in 28 league appearances, Beto has struggled for consistency.
Outside a brief period of good form in February, his time at Goodison Park has largely been disappointing.
If Leeds are prepared to meet Everton’s valuation, it would give the club a significant boost in their summer rebuild.
The funds could be used to pursue upgrades in key positions, particularly in the forward line, where the Blues need more reliable firepower to compete for European places under Moyes in his first full season back at the helm.
The club has already shown interest in Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap.
Offloading Beto for a large fee would potentially free up the resources to challenge other Premier League rivals, including Manchester United and Chelsea, for Delap’s signature.
With two years remaining on Beto’s contract, Everton are in a strong negotiating position. If they can capitalise on the current interest, this summer could mark a pivotal step forward in their rebuilding efforts.
