Everton are weighing up a move for Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson, with talks for Southampton’s Tyler Dibling yet to progress, according to BBC reporter Giulia Bould.

Despite recently securing Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City, the Toffees remain keen to recruit another wide player before the summer transfer window closes.

Manager David Moyes is without a natural right-sided attacker, leaving the squad light in that area ahead of the Premier League’s opening weekend.

So far this summer, Everton have signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Adam Aznou, Thierno Barry, and Mark Travers, while also making Carlos Alcaraz’s loan move permanent.

However, a number of departures have left Moyes with a relatively small group, prompting the search for further reinforcements.

BBC: Everton’s interest shifts to Omari Hutchinson

Speaking on BBC Merseyside Sport, Bould confirmed the club’s interest in Hutchinson, adding that a move for Dibling could be revived if certain conditions are met.

“If the player indicates he really wants to go, and Southampton are willing to lower their price, Everton would come back to the table. They are now looking at Ipswich’s Omari Hutchinson,” she said.

Hutchinson, hailed as “sensational” by scout Felix Johnston, suffered relegation with Ipswich last season.

The England youth international now faces a decision — stay in the Championship under Kieran McKenna or push for a return to the Premier League.

Notably, the winger has been absent from Ipswich’s matchday squad in both their recent Championship fixture and the Carabao Cup tie earlier this week.

Addressing the situation after Ipswich’s Carabao Cup game against Bromley, McKenna revealed that Hutchinson chose not to play due to uncertainty over his future.

“He trained on Monday okay and then felt he couldn’t contribute today with the situation as it is. That was his decision,” McKenna explained.

“He made his desire to continue to play Premier League football if the opportunity is there.”

Everton will now assess whether Hutchinson could provide the extra creativity and depth they need on the flanks.

With the season fast approaching, the club faces a race against time to finalise deals that will give Moyes the squad balance required for a strong start.
