‘Excellent Buy’ – talkSPORT Pundit Tips Premier League Striker for Move to Everton

Everton are preparing for a transformative summer, with as many as 13 players—Dominic Calvert-Lewin among them—set to see their contracts expire at the end of the current season.

The potential exit of Calvert-Lewin, along with loanee Armando Broja, would leave David Moyes facing the next campaign with only Beto and Youssef Chermiti as his senior centre-forward options.

I could definitely see him doing well at Everton—or even West Ham.”

Deeney went on to emphasize Vardy’s infectious mentality and how he is the type of player opponents hate to face, but teammates love to have on their side.

“Jamie is one of those guys you hate playing against because he does all the gritty, annoying things. But if he’s on your team, you absolutely love him,” Deeney said.

He further elaborated that Vardy would be an excellent second or third-choice striker for a side like Everton.

His track record, including winning the Premier League and representing England, speaks volumes about the kind of presence he would bring to any squad.

“Jamie Vardy as a backup option is fantastic,” Deeney added. “Over the course of a season, you’re going to need rotation due to injuries and fatigue.

To have someone like Vardy—who’s still got his pace and hasn’t really slowed down—is a huge plus. That’s a great acquisition.”

Vardy has already been linked with Everton in the past, and given their current financial limitations and squad needs, such a move would be sensible.

Everton’s ability to make marquee signings may be restricted by Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), making experienced free agents like Vardy especially attractive.

Despite his age, Vardy has made notable contributions this season, being involved in 10 goals for Leicester.
