However, he has only made one Premier League start since arriving at the London Stadium.
Many fans have been calling for manager Julen Lopetegui to give the Dutch winger more playing time, especially after his promising substitute performances.
Former player Frank McAvennie shares this sentiment.

The more he plays, the better he’ll become.
Jarrod Bowen came from Hull City and needed a few games to settle, but David Moyes believed in him.

Crysencio Summerville has the potential to become a key player for West Ham, but he needs more time to adapt, especially considering the team’s recent struggles.
Lopetegui has been finding it difficult to establish his style of play, with the Hammers winless in their last five matches, their last victory coming against Bournemouth in the EFL Cup in August.
Comparing Summerville to Bowen is a tall order. Bowen, 27, has become a pivotal figure for the club, leading them to European success with 62 goals and 40 assists in 210 appearances.
Summerville, meanwhile, helped Leeds push for Premier League promotion last season, contributing 19 goals and nine assists in the Championship, earning him a move to the top tier.
