Yet any pursuit of Hutchinson would require careful evaluation.
Given Forest’s significant investment last summer, prising him away is unlikely to be inexpensive—despite his shared representation with Bruno Guimaraes.
Newcastle’s hierarchy will be mindful of recent lessons, particularly their substantial £55 million move for Elanga following his impressive spell at Forest, a transfer that has yet to fully justify its price tag.
Unless Forest soften their stance due to relegation pressures, Newcastle risk repeating a costly pattern.
