West Ham United have ring-fenced a modest budget as they scour the market for a new striker capable of stepping straight into the starting XI.

As reported by Football Insider in November, the club dispatched scouts to assess Josh Sargent during one of Norwich City’s fixtures, with the American forward firmly among the targets being evaluated at the London Stadium.
