Leicester City’s return to the Championship had begun on a positive note under newly-appointed boss Marti Cifuentes, with three victories and only one defeat in their opening four fixtures before the September international break.

Optimism was growing that the Foxes could mount a serious push for promotion at the first time of asking.

Page has quickly emerged as one of the Championship’s standout young players in the early weeks of the season.
