Exclusive: Tottenham Pursue New Midfield Signing – Major Connor Gallagher Update Expected Tonight
Tottenham Hotspur remains committed to signing another central midfielder in this transfer window, following the acquisition of Archie Gray from Leeds United.

According to senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke on Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast, Tottenham Hotspur is set on strengthening their midfield options under Ange Postecoglou.
The focus on midfield reinforcements has been ongoing since last summer, with the recent addition of versatile midfielder Archie Gray bolstering their ranks.
However, Spurs could face the departure of midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer. Reports indicate Hojbjerg has hired a new agent to facilitate a move, with interest from Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Hojbjerg’s potential exit underscores Tottenham’s urgency to reinforce their squad, though it appears unlikely that Conor Gallagher will be joining. Despite Spurs’ longstanding interest and attempts to sign him for Postecoglou, sources suggest Gallagher is unlikely to leave Chelsea this window. Chelsea’s transfer strategy aims at maintaining financial sustainability, and Gallagher, who expressed a desire to stay, has seen contract negotiations stall.
The England international featured prominently for Chelsea last season, appearing in 50 matches across all competitions.
While Gallagher may not be attainable, Tottenham’s interest extends to another former Chelsea player. Football Insider reports Spurs have been monitoring Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, although he is content at his current club.
