Fabrizio Romano Provides Latest Update on Carlos Soler Transfer as Player Makes Major Decision

West Ham have been negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain for Carlos Soler, but Everton has recently joined the race.

According to Le Parisien, West Ham was nearing an agreement for Soler valued around €23 million (£19.5 million) with add-ons.

However, Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported that Everton has started exploring a deal for the 27-year-old, who has been on their radar for some time.

Fabrizio Romano has now provided an update on the situation, revealing that Soler’s preference is to move to West Ham.

Despite interest from other clubs, the Hammers are leading the pursuit.

Romano stated that Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui have been actively working to finalize the transfer.

This news is promising for West Ham and disappointing for Everton, as Soler appears inclined to join West Ham.

With limited opportunities in PSG’s starting XI, Soler looks set to leave the club.

Soler, known for his versatility in midfield, is likened to Spanish greats Santi Cazorla and David Silva.

His former coach at Valencia, Curro Torres, praised Soler’s abilities in an AS interview, highlighting his power, box presence, and goal-scoring potential.

Torres noted, “He’s the complete midfielder and can play as a six, eight, or ten.
