Largie Ramazani has become Leeds United’s fifth summer signing, joining for £10 million.
This follows the arrivals of Joe Rodon, Joe Rothwell, Jayden Bogle, and Alex Cairns, who will serve as the third-choice goalkeeper.
Daniel Farke has expressed a desire to bring in replacements for Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter, as well as adding a full-back and a midfielder. Ramazani is expected to provide cover for Summerville.
Manor Solomon remains a strong target for Leeds, with the Tottenham player undergoing a medical over the weekend.
Although a loan deal is still being considered, negotiations are taking longer than anticipated.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Leeds’ priority in the final days of the transfer window will be to secure a striker.
Farke has indicated the need for a new full-back, as Sam Byram is currently the only natural backup for Junior Firpo and Bogle, and Byram’s injury issues mean additional cover is necessary.
Leeds also need a midfielder to compensate for the departures of Archie Gray and Glen Kamara, with Rothwell being the only replacement so far.
Romano has confirmed that signing a striker is a top priority for Leeds.
Despite having a well-stocked striker lineup with Mateo Joseph as the current first choice, along with Patrick Bamford, Joel Piroe, and Joe Gelhardt providing additional options, Leeds might consider bringing in another striker if one of the current players departs.
Piroe and Gelhardt can play in various positions, and Luca Thomas is also emerging as a promising talent after receiving a call-up to the German national team.
While the addition of another striker seems less urgent given the current depth, Leeds could still make a move if a substantial offer for one of their existing forwards comes in before the transfer deadline.
