Rangers Ramp Up Transfer Activity Ahead of Crucial July Fixtures
Rangers have been active in the transfer market this month, bringing in several new signings, and they show no signs of slowing down.

One of the latest players on their radar is winger Djeidi Gassama. Former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson has urged the club to push through the deal with urgency, particularly with the crucial European fixture looming.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Ferguson emphasised the need for swift action in the market.
He highlighted the importance of allowing this new-look Rangers squad time to gel ahead of their European clash.
“Rangers need to bring players in quickly. That European match is just two weeks away. It’s a fresh group and they need time together on the training ground,” Ferguson said.
“We need wide players—those currently in the squad haven’t proven themselves or have struggled with injuries.
From what I’ve heard, Gassama is versatile, can play on both wings, and sounds like a quality addition.”
Some Rangers fans had grown concerned over the delay in Gassama’s move, reportedly due to ownership issues at Sheffield Wednesday.
Despite the hold-up, the player remains eager to join Rangers.
Russell Martin confirmed on Friday (11 July) that everything on Rangers’ side of the deal has been completed, and they’re now simply waiting for Sheffield Wednesday to finalise their part.
Barring further complications, Gassama could be available for selection against Panathinaikos.
The 21-year-old winger brings a different dimension to Rangers’ attack. Known for his blistering pace, direct style, and willingness to take on defenders, Gassama also boasts a powerful right foot capable of scoring from distance. His skill set would add a fresh threat on the flanks.
If the deal is completed soon, Gassama has the potential to become a long-term asset for the Ibrox club. But for now, sealing the transfer remains the immediate focus.
