“SHOCKING TWIST! Fabrizio Romano Drops BOMBSHELL: Tottenham’s Top Manager Target Desperately Begging to Snub Spurs for Rival Club!”
Tottenham Hotspur Set to Appoint New Manager This Summer

Ange Postecoglou has been in charge of Tottenham Hotspur since early 2023.
His tenure began with immense promise, and he quickly became a popular figure among the fans. However, the last year and a half have been far from ideal for both him and the club.
Tottenham squandered their chance to finish in the Premier League’s top four last season despite being in a strong position.
This season has been even more disappointing, with the club currently languishing in the bottom half of the table.
As a result of this decline, it’s widely expected that Postecoglou will depart the club in the summer.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is already actively seeking a new manager to lead the team into the next chapter.
One of the names strongly linked with the job is Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso.
Fabrizio Romano Provides Xabi Alonso Update Amid Spurs Speculation
With Postecoglou likely on his way out, Tottenham have been connected with multiple managerial candidates ahead of the summer.
In the aftermath of high-profile stints with Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte, the club had initially steered away from marquee names. However, that approach may now be changing.
Recent reports have linked Spurs with big names such as Jurgen Klopp, Xabi Alonso, and Carlo Ancelotti as potential successors to Postecoglou.
Klopp, however, has already made it clear he won’t be managing another English club following his departure from Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Ancelotti is widely expected to take over the Brazilian national team, which effectively rules him out of contention as well.
That leaves Alonso as a remaining possibility. Unfortunately for Tottenham, he appears to have chosen a different path – one that leads to the Spanish capital.
According to football insider Fabrizio Romano on the Here We Go podcast, Alonso is set to become the next manager of Real Madrid.
“Xabi Alonso remains the favourite to replace Ancelotti,” Romano revealed. “Real Madrid fans may need to be patient as talks develop, but I can confirm there will be no issues between Alonso and the club regarding contract details.
Alonso wants the Real Madrid job, and the club views him as the ideal candidate.”
Romano added that Real Madrid are simply waiting to finalize matters on their end, including Ancelotti’s transition to Brazil. Once that’s complete, they expect to formally appoint Alonso with no major obstacles in the way.
Tottenham Should Consider Alonso’s Former Teammate
In truth, Alonso was always going to be a tough target for Tottenham. Persuading the 43-year-old to leave his successful project at Bayer Leverkusen – and turn down Real Madrid – was always an uphill battle.
With Alonso out of the picture, Spurs need to explore other options. One realistic alternative could be Alonso’s former Spain teammate, Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi has been out of work since departing Barcelona and has demonstrated his managerial ability at the highest level.
Although landing him won’t be simple, he’s a far more achievable target for Spurs compared to Klopp, Alonso, or Ancelotti.
