Former £20m Leeds United transfer target poised for £250k transfer and tenth club after Elland Road reversal
Former Leeds United transfer target Michaël Cuisance is close to finalizing a permanent move to 2. Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin, reportedly valued at €250-300k.
Nearly four years ago, Leeds had nearly secured Cuisance’s signature, with the Bayern Munich prospect even flying into Leeds-Bradford Airport for a scheduled medical. However, Leeds opted out of the deal, redirecting their resources towards the successful acquisition of Raphinha for nearly £20 million instead.
Cuisance subsequently had loan spells at Olympique de Marseille in Ligue 1 and then a permanent move to Venezia, where he featured in both Serie A and Serie B. Further loan stints followed at Sampdoria in Italy’s top league and VfL Osnabrück in Germany’s second division.
Now, according to reports, Berlin appears set to become the French midfielder’s next destination. At 24, joining Hertha would mark Cuisance’s tenth club in his professional career so far.
