Speaking to AfricaFoot on 19 November, Kudus’ former academy coach, Laryea Kingston, expressed confidence in the West Ham forward’s potential to succeed.
Both Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the player, according to Sky Sports.
Kudus recently faced criticism from Ghana’s media after missing a crucial penalty during their 2-1 loss to Niger, which ended a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying campaign for the Black Stars.
Reflecting on the player’s resilience, Kingston remarked, “I’ve known him since he was 14 or 15. With his character, no one can break him.
Beyond his abilities and potential, he has a positive mindset.
I know he’s experiencing a tough time with the national team, but Europeans evaluate things differently.
Many big clubs are interested in him, and I don’t think his national team performances will impact his transfer prospects.”
A transfer for Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United seems increasingly likely.
Despite Kingston’s belief in Kudus’ mental strength, the 24-year-old has had a challenging start to the season.
Ghana’s failure to qualify for AFCON 2025, coupled with his modest tally of two goals in eight games and a current five-match suspension, underscores a rocky period for the player.
