Former Moyes associate supports Everton’s £10m move for ‘exciting’ striker.

David Moyes is preparing for a significant squad overhaul at Everton this summer, with several key players set to depart.

Among those out of contract at the end of the season is Abdoulaye Doucouré, who is expected to leave.

Meanwhile, long-serving striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin could also move on after nearly nine years at Goodison Park.

To address this potential loss, Everton appear to have already identified a replacement—Tammy Abraham.

Abraham as Calvert-Lewin’s Successor

According to TEAMtalk (March 5), Everton have made initial inquiries about signing Abraham from Roma.

Newcastle United, Nottingham Forest, and West Ham United are also interested in bringing the former Chelsea forward back to the Premier League.

Abraham is currently on loan at AC Milan, but the Italian club is not interested in making his stay permanent. As a result, Roma are looking for a new destination for the 27-year-old [CalcioMercato].

Everton have reportedly held discussions with Abraham’s representatives [CaughtOffside], and their negotiations could be aided by the fact that Roma’s owners, the Friedkin Group, have strong connections with the Merseyside club.

Former Everton scout Bryan King, speaking exclusively to Goodison News, believes a deal could be struck for as little as £10 million.

“Abraham would be an exciting signing,” King stated. “He made his mark at Chelsea before moving to Roma. I think he could benefit both himself and Everton by making the switch. He’s at a good age, too.

“I believe a fee in the region of £10 million could get the deal done—certainly somewhere between £10-20 million.”

A Fresh Start for Abraham

Abraham has struggled in Italy this season, but a move to the Premier League could rejuvenate his career.

Having won the UEFA Champions League, his experience could be invaluable to Moyes and Everton.

If the Toffees can secure his signature for just £10 million, it would represent a shrewd piece of business.
