West Ham United are reportedly preparing a move to sign Dutch star Quinten Timber in 2026, with the Feyenoord midfielder set to become a free agent next summer.
According to reports from Spain, the Hammers are keen to take advantage of his contract situation, potentially securing a top-quality player without a transfer fee.
Timber, who is the twin brother of Arsenal’s Jurrien Timber, has impressed in the Eredivisie and is viewed as a versatile talent capable of playing as a defensive midfielder, attacking midfielder, or even at centre-back.
The news comes at a pivotal time for West Ham, who recently lifted spirits with a crucial victory over Newcastle United.
That win brought much-needed relief to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, who have struggled for consistency and found themselves embroiled in a relegation fight for much of the season.

Providing a fitness update ahead of the game, Nuno confirmed that Niclas Fullkrug and Konstantinos Mavropanos are edging closer to full fitness:
“Both of them improving, starting to work at different stages. Dinos is still on individual work, while Niclas is progressing with the group — not all of the training sessions, but we are managing their recovery carefully.
After the international break, I’m positive everything will be OK.”
Nuno also praised academy product Freddie Potts, who has emerged as one of the few positives this season:
“He played really well, had a fantastic match. His actions were accurate, and he balanced the team in midfield. He’s played a lot on loan and is a very good option for us.”
With Potts showing promise and Timber potentially on the way, West Ham’s midfield future could be in safe hands.
