Fulham are reportedly prepared to offer £30m to sign Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal, where he has been a former Leeds United forward.
Nketiah spent a loan spell at Leeds in 2019 to gain senior experience and enhance his prospects at Arsenal. Primarily used as a substitute, he returned to Arsenal midway through the season. Despite making over 150 appearances for Arsenal, Nketiah has struggled to secure a regular starting position in the team. Speculation about his future has been ongoing, and a summer move seems likely.
The Sun reports that Fulham are ready to bid £30m for Nketiah and are currently leading the race for his signature. Wolves and Crystal Palace are also expected to compete for the forward. Additionally, Nketiah has been linked with Leicester City and Brentford in recent months.
Arsenal are hesitant to part with Nketiah, who has been with the club since joining their academy nearly a decade ago. Everton have shown interest in taking him on loan, which could be an appealing option for Arsenal.
Selling Nketiah, however, could provide Arsenal with the necessary funds to acquire RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, who has been strongly linked with the club. For Nketiah, securing regular starts at another club could improve his chances of featuring prominently for England.
